Damerham Fair: sunshine, teddies and men dressed as horses

A bright day at Damerham Fair brought games, classic cars, a lively Discover Freemasonry stand and all the cheerful absurdity a proper country show requires.

Damerham Fair remains one of those wonderfully English summer occasions where there is something for everyone: games for the children, wheelbarrow racing, egg throwing, a dog show, classic cars and bouncy castles.

The Discover Freemasonry team was there in force, complete with teddies, information and a rather fetching blue marquee. We were also joined by our local APGM, W. Bro. Chris Lockwood—presumably because there was no cricket on television.

A cracking day out in the sunshine, with good company and enough rural enthusiasm to keep even the men dressed as horses galloping along with commendable seriousness.
